Mission
Saint Edmond’s Academy is a community of families, educators, and partners inspired by the values of the Gospel. In the Holy Cross tradition, we are committed to the education of boys from grades K-8. Incorporating contemporary thought with individualized instruction, a challenging 21st century curriculum, and a focus on the core values of heart, mind, hope, zeal, and family, Saint Edmond’s Academy develops boys of character in a community of faith.
History
Reverend Jacques Dujarie organized the Brothers of Holy Cross, originally called the Brothers of Saint Joseph, as a teaching community in 1820 France. In 1837, Blessed Basil Moreau associated these Brothers with a society of auxiliary priests to establish the Congregation of Holy Cross, a religious community of priests and brothers. After the establishment of the University of Notre Dame in 1842, the Brothers founded additional schools across the country, adding to other Holy Cross schools in Europe and throughout the world.
Core Values
As a Catholic school, rooted in the traditions of Holy Cross education, we are dedicated to empowering our students with values for life. From a young age, students develop an understanding of five core values distilled from the writings of Blessed Basil Moreau- heart, mind, hope, zeal, and family. Students learn to respect themselves and those around them, embracing the likeness and differences of all.

Today, our Lancer community came together to celebrate our Opening of School Mass, beginning the new school year with renewed spiritual energy and hearts centered in faith.
A special thank you to Father Bob Bazolli for leading us in a beautiful celebration and sharing a meaningful homily with our students, faculty, and staff.
We also thank Kermitt B., our Student Council President, for sharing his beautiful Holy Cross reflection and reminding us of the faith and values that unite our community. ✝️
Following the Holy Cross theme of Family, our school theme this year is “Many Gifts, One Family.” Each member of our community brings unique gifts and talents, and together, we make one strong Lancer family.
As we begin this new school year, we ask God to guide us as we learn, grow, serve, and share our gifts with one another.

🎨🎶 Celebrating National Arts in Education Week at Saint Edmond’s Academy! 🎭🥁
At SEA, the arts give our Lancers opportunities to create, perform, explore, and discover new talents. From Art classes and creative enrichments to Chorus, Band, band and Jazz Band, and Music, the arts are an important part of helping our boys express themselves and grow in confidence.
Whether they’re picking up an instrument, raising their voices in song, putting paint to paper, or trying something new through enrichment, our Lancers are encouraged to let their creativity shine!

Today, Saint Edmond’s Academy joins our nation in remembering the lives lost on September 11, 2001, and honoring the courage and selflessness of the first responders, service members, and countless individuals who came together in the face of tragedy.
May we continue to teach our Lancers the importance of courage, compassion, service, and unity, and may we always remember those whose lives were forever changed that day.
