Parent Association

The Academy’s parent association (along with our staff team of moderators!) is your go-to for all things community! We always appreciate your help sponsoring, organizing and staffing special events and SEA traditions. We also provide occasional financial support for special student programs throughout the year.

We are so thankful for our volunteers and their families for making our year so successful.  Please take a quick look here to find the right match for your family. We can’t thank you enough for lending us a hand!

This year is already shaping up to be full of exciting events. Here are a few to mark on your calendar:

  • Dinner, Drinks & Connections Night: Thursday, October 1st at 6:30 PM
Miss Pam is working on an amazing menu, and wine and drinks will be provided by Dad Matt Kelly of Standard Distributors. Come for dinner, meet new families, share ideas, and learn more about SEA. Please RSVP to me as soon as you can so we have a proper head count for Pam.
  • Student Social: Fright Fest at Bates Motel, Sunday, October 11th
Boys, get ready for a night of spooky fun with your SEA friends! Ticket info to be released this week. It is scary- recommended ages 10+ (Parents love this too – bring your family and friends)
  • Desserts by Dana Pie Sale Kickoff: Thursday, October 22nd
What a great way to make Thanksgiving dessert easy as pie! Treat your employees to dessert, or perfect for Friendsgiving. We also use this sale to give back to our community. Even if you don’t want a pie for your own family, please consider gifting one to be donated to the Emmanuel Dining Room to help feed the guests who rely on their meals. Pie packets will go home in October and pie pick up is Monday, November 23rd from 11-3pm
  • Trunk or Treat & Fall Festival: Saturday, October 24th, 1–4 PM
A family favorite, complete with games, inflatables, trunk-or-treating, a trunk decorating contest, food, and plenty of fall fun. Keep an eye on the Knightly News for sign-up links, and please spread the word to friends and family. This is a community event, and we love showing off our SEA pride!
  • Middle School Bonfire at Ramsey Farms, Saturday, October 24th
Our 6th–8th graders are invited to join Ursuline Academy for a bonfire after the Fall Festival.
  • Men’s Monday Night Football:  Monday, October 26th
Calling all the men of SEA! Join us for a fun night out as we cheer on the Birds. Be on the lookout for a flyer with all the details on what’s planned.

Of course, none of these special days would be possible without the support of our parents. We know how busy life can get, which is why every bit of help truly matters, whether it’s volunteering in the Lancer Closet, serving as a homeroom ambassador, coaching, or donating items for events. The boys absolutely love seeing their families involved, and your presence makes all the difference.

Share your time + talent with us!
Our community events would not be possible without the talent, support, and time of our parent volunteers. The boys love seeing their families involved—whether it’s helping in the lunchroom, serving as a class homeroom ambassador, coaching a team, or simply donating supplies for events. Every bit makes a difference! Please click this link to explore the volunteering opportunities at SEA. We also welcome our Grandparents and Grandfriends to join, so feel free to share with them. Thank you for choosing SEA!   Here are just a few of the things we coordinate throughout the  year- ‘Ladies Night’ Events, Designer Bag Bingo, Trunk-or-Treat + Fall Festival, Thanksgiving Pie Fundraiser, Christmas Decorator Crew, Santa’s Shop at SEA, Faculty + Staff Christmas Fund

Lancer Closet + Resale Room
Many hands make light work! Do you have any free time to help out in the Lancer Closet? SEA’s ‘Resale Room’ is a wonderful resource for all families and also serves as the Parent Association’s primary annual fundraiser. Please reach out if you’re able to give 30-60 minutes of your time to help sort and organize donations.

Lunchroom Volunteers Needed
Lunch Duty volunteers are so important! Our teachers and kitchen crew sincerely appreciate your time. All families & Grandparents are encouraged to volunteer for lunch duty as their schedule allows. Hours are typically from 10:30 AM – 1:00 PM. The boys love to see your smiling faces!  Please sign up here.  We ask all school volunteers to please fill out this easy background clearance before volunteering.

School Store
New spirit wear is available online.  Snag a piece and show off your school spirit in the stands. Order online and we will send it home the same day if it is stock.

Chaperoning
Relatives who wish to chaperone a field trip or volunteer at SEA events (other than in our café) must have completed our background clearance process before being eligible to do so. Please click here to complete the process online. Questions may be directed to Karen Smith by email.
